Here are two examples of each situation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You created a custom chapter in an earlier course and want to copy it into a new course.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>OUP has released an updated version of a course, and you would like to copy a new chapter from that updated course into your existing course.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Luckily, copying content from one course to another is easy to do in Oxford Insight. Below are step-by-step instructions for copying a chapter from one course to another. (You can use the same process can be used to copy pages and components.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><u>How to Copy a Chapter Between Courses<\/u><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Log in to Oxford Insight.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go into the first course. This is the course from which you want to copy the chapter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click \u201cContent\u201d in the left-hand side navigate and then click \u201cCourse Home.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Switch to Authoring Mode.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scroll down the course table of contents to the chapter you wish to copy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the \u201cPin\u201d button on that chapter. This pins it to the top of the Content Library, making it easy to find when you go into the second course.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"749\" height=\"451\" src=\"https:\/\/support.insight.oup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2026\/05\/copyingchapters.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-628\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">7. Click \u201cMy Courses.\u201d<br>8. Go into the second course. This is the course into which you want to copy the chapter<br>9. Click \u201cContent\u201d in the left-hand side navigate and then click \u201cCourse Home.\u201d<br>10. Switch to Authoring Mode.<br>11. At the top of the course table of contents, click the Add Content button (the blue + sign).<br>12. At the top of the Chapter Library that appears, you will see the chapter you pinned listed under the \u201cPinned\u201d heading.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"752\" height=\"452\" src=\"https:\/\/support.insight.oup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2026\/05\/copy-chapter2-library.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-629\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">13. Click that chapter and then click \u201cAdd Chapter.\u201d<br>14. The chapter has now been added to your course at the bottom of the table of contents.<br>15.
