Oxford Insight’s presets allow you to create groups of assessment settings across multiple assessments. Presets let you apply the same configuration quickly without changing each assessment one by one.
Create a Preset
- Go to Instructor Tools → Activity Settings.
- On the Tools menu, select “Preset Manager.”
- Click “+ Add New.”
- Enter a Preset name and pick a color.
- Set the options you want such as Attempts, Grades, Correct Answer Display, etc.
- Click Add to save the Preset.
Edit or delete Presets
- Go to Instructor Tools → Activity Settings.
- On the Tools menu, select “Preset Manager.”
- Choose a Preset to edit or delete.
- Save your changes.
Apply a Preset to multiple assessments
- In the assessment list, select the assessments using the checkboxes on the left.
- Click “Batch Edit.”
- Click “Apply a Preset.”
- Pick the Preset you wish to use.
- Click “Save changes.”
Quick tips
- Use clear names like “Low-stakes Quiz” or “Final Exam – no feedback” so you can find Presets fast.
- Use colors to spot Presets at a glance.
- Test a Preset on one assessment first to make sure it does exactly what you expect.
