If the Student Study Center or the Student Engagement portion of the Course Performance report are not showing useful information, the Score Cutoff value might be set too low in your course. (The Score Cutoff is the percentage value of assessment scores used to determine whether students are proficient in each topic/section. If it is set too low, then most or all students will exceed it, and your reports will be less useful.)
How to Update the Score Cutoff Value
- Go to Instructor Tools → Course Setup
- Enter a higher value (percentage) in the Score Cutoff field (1–100)
- Click Save Settings
Then:
- Go to Reports → Course Performance
- Check if the Student Engagement report looks better
- Reload the page if needed
