{"id":262,"date":"2026-03-27T11:00:20","date_gmt":"2026-03-27T11:00:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/support.insight.oup.com\/?p=262"},"modified":"2026-05-28T02:10:17","modified_gmt":"2026-05-28T02:10:17","slug":"grades-syncing-oi-to-lms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/support.insight.oup.com\/ru\/instructor-support\/grades-syncing-oi-to-lms\/","title":{"rendered":"How do I fix problems with grades syncing from my Insight course to my LMS course?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If grades aren\u2019t syncing to your LMS course, it may be because the <strong>LTI integration<\/strong> wasn\u2019t completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 1: Check LTI Integration<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Contact your LMS Administrator and the <a href=\"mailto:he.integrations@oup.com?cc=insight.support@oup.com&amp;subject=Integration%20support%20required\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Higher Education Integration Specialist<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 2: Confirm that there are graded assessments in your course.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For grades to sync, assessments must be set to <em>Graded<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Option 1: Activity Settings Page<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to Instructor Tools \u2192 Activity Settings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Either:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Check the \u201cGraded\u201d box next to individual items, then click \u201cSave Changes,\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select multiple items, click \u201cBatch Edit,\u201d click \u201cUpdate Settings,\u201d then select \u201cGraded\u201d and save.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Option 2: Individual Assessment Page<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Navigate to the page that contains the assessment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Switch to Authoring Mode.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Move your cursor over the assessment and click \u201cEdit.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to \u201cEdit Component.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set \u201cGraded\u201d to \u201cYes\u201d (and set a due date if desired), then save.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once done, scores will sync automatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 3: Manual Sync (Optional)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To push all scores and create gradebook items, go to \u201cLTI Sync Manger\u201d under Instructor Tools. Then, do one of the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you have not yet selected an LTI Sync method, click \u201cLTI Setup\u201d and select a method (they are explained on the page). This will trigger sync of all graded assessments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you have already selected an LTI Sync method, you can perform a manual sync as follows:\n<ol start=\"1\" style=\"list-style-type:lower-alpha\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click Cancel Selection (if needed).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click Select All on the assignments page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click Next.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click Select All on the students page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click Sync Now.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click Proceed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wait for the sync to finish. <em>Don\u2019t leave the page or close the browser window\/tab.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You will see an \u201cLTI Setup Successful\u201d message when the sync is complete.<br>After this, scores will sync automatically as students submit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Need further help?<\/strong><br>For integration issues: <a href=\"mailto:he.integrations@oup.com?cc=insight.support@oup.com&amp;subject=Integration%20support%20required\">Contact\u00a0the Higher Education Integration Specialist<\/a>; otherwise, <a href=\"https:\/\/oxfordinsight.oup.com\/tech-support-ticket\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/oxfordinsight.oup.com\/tech-support-ticket\/\"><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/support.learninglink.oup.com\/s\/contactsupport\"><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/oxfordinsight.oup.com\/tech-support-ticket\/\"><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/support.insight.oup.com\/contact-us\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"667\">Contact Us<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If grades aren\u2019t syncing to your LMS course, it may be because the LTI integration wasn\u2019t completed.
