To Check First: If an assessment isn’t set to Graded, its scores won’t sync to your LMS gradebook.
To Set an Assessment to Graded:
Option 1: Activity Settings Page
- Go to Instructor Tools → Activity Settings.
- Either:
- Check the “Graded” box next to individual items, then click “Save Changes,”
- Select multiple items, click “Batch Edit,” click “Update Settings,” then select “Graded” and save.
Option 2: Individual Assessment Page
- Navigate to the page that contains the assessment.
- Switch to Authoring Mode.
- Move your cursor over the assessment and click “Edit.”
- Go to “Edit Component.”
- Set “Graded” to “Yes” (and set a due date if desired), then save.
- Scores will now sync automatically.
After you have confirmed that the relevant assessments are set to Graded, you can perform a manual sync, as follows:
- Go to “LTI Sync Manager” under Instructor Tools.
- Click Cancel Selection (if needed).
- Select the relevant assignment(s).
- Click Next.
- Click Select All on the students page.
- Click Sync Now.
- Click Proceed.
- Wait for the sync to finish. Don’t leave the page or close the browser window/tab. You will see an “LTI Setup Successful” message when the sync is complete.
